Ozone Zaragoza begins with a clear brief: to create a fully fledged leisure center inside an empty industrial unit, devoid of architectural character, and transform it into an active, recognizable environment capable of engaging a multigenerational audience. The project—part of the national expansion of the Ozone Group—is structured around bowling as its central nucleus, while articulating a constellation of complementary uses that broaden and diversify the experience.
The design approaches the space as a narrative system rather than a themed setting. Everything starts from the void: circulation is structured, uses are hierarchized, scale is generated, and character is defined. The aesthetic is distinctly urban and industrial, with references to graphic design, street food culture, and contemporary leisure.
The different areas are organized as follows:
- Bowling area: with 24 lanes, conceived as the core of activity, featuring custom carpeting, graphic furniture, and oversized pin-shaped luminaires—elements already iconic within the Ozone visual universe.
- Mega inflatable: a 1,000 m² attraction with its own lighting treatment, acting as a magnet for younger and family audiences without competing with traditional gaming zones.
- Social games zone: shuffleboard, interactive darts, foosball, pool tables, and karaoke booths, set within a more intimate, informal environment designed for non-competitive adult leisure.
- Street food market: conceived as an interior plaza using repurposed shipping containers to house diverse food offerings. Metallic textures, fair-style lighting, artificial greenery, and graphic canopies combine to create a recognizable and operational space.
- Circulation and waiting areas: treated as active components of the journey, with bespoke signage, modular furniture, and suspended elements that establish rhythm and scale.
