Strategic and sensitive design to update the image of a prestigious hotel in the heart of the palm grove.
The Hotel Port Jardín Milenio is one of the longest-established properties within the Port Hotels group, located in a singular setting beside the historic Palmeral of Elche, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Despite its privileged location and well-established reputation, the hotel required an update to both its image and its services.
The intervention—measured in scale yet clear in intent—operated on three fronts: the refurbishment of the café–buffet, the enhancement of the reception area, and the expansion of the room offering through a new suite. All actions were guided by a shared criterion: to activate the hotel’s aesthetic and functional potential without altering its character. A precise project that signals a new phase without overwriting its legacy.
In the café, a warm and natural aesthetic was introduced, based on honest materials and elements of Mediterranean origin, creating a brighter, more integrated, and contemporary space. The new guestrooms—especially the newly built suite—incorporate wallpapers by Glamora, natural board furniture by Finsa, ceramic pieces by Wow Ceramics, and, as a distinctive detail, custom terracotta lamps designed by local artisans, reinforcing the hotel’s connection to its territory.
The project has a clearly strategic dimension: updating the style, increasing perceived quality, optimizing profitability through a controlled and efficient investment, and paving the way for future interventions. More than a renovation, it is an aesthetic positioning that lays the foundations for the hotel’s evolution within the group’s new strategic direction.
